Hillsboro County Fair Official Weigh off Results September 5th 2008
As usual this was a fantastic weekend for the entire group. Many of us met on Thursday evening and did the loading for the weekend Fair. The Giant Pumpkin Weigh off was a main attraction in the center arena and hundreds gathered to watch and cheer their favorite grower to victory. The pumpkin display continues to be one of the main focuses of this annual County Fair. Thanks to all those who helped make it possible.

Aug. 27th - Annual Hopkinton State Fair Weigh-off a Huge Success!
Directors of the Hopkinton State Fair called the annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh off a huge success. There were seven entries and it was considered one of the fairs biggest crowd pleasers. Being the earliest of the area fairs it makes decision making very difficult for growers.
We certainly must tip our hats again to Bruce and Mary Whittier for stepping up and working with the Fair officials and coordinating the entire weekend.
