The Connecticut Giant Squash & Pumpkin Growers Association is a group of individuals who have organized for the purpose of furthering the sport of competitive Giant Squash & Pumpkin growing. We also intend to involve & assist hobbyist growers & further the overall interest in these amazing fruit (Cucurbita maxima var. Atlantic Giant, et al.).

NOFA-NH recognizes that farmers, gardeners, and consumers of organic products share a "community of interests:" a common need to grow and consume safe, healthy, nutritious, great-tasting food; and a common interest in preserving a healthy environment that nurtures all of us. In an age of industrial agriculture, we're working to re-establish a shared sense of pride and participation in a community-based food system that links local farmers with local consumers, and rewards them both equally.

We created this site to help New Hampshire residents start and care for productive food gardens, preserve some of the bounty, and keep up with the latest gardening research and ideas. Please click on the tabs on the left-hand side of this page for information about specific home and community gardening topics.

Our mission is to further promote Giant Vegetable growing and our members to the community. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding our reach. But most of all we do it for the satisfaction of seeing the smiles and looks on peoples faces when they see our Giant accomplishments!
